Year 6

At exactly 5:01 P.M., the last child leaves the school. The door clicks shut. For a moment, everything is silent. Then the school wakes up.

“Okay everybody, time to wake up!” shouts the clock, stretching his hands slowly. As fast as you could blink, the crayons, pencils and markers jump out of the pencil cases and start creating a new dress for the majestic paper.

The grumpy whiteboard growls: “Finally, I am sick of the children drawing all over me all day long… they are not even allowed. I am made for smart equations, not for silly doodles!”

“Stop complaining and let me clean you!” says the table cloth.

And so on, the school comes to life. But sadly in the morning, they all have to go back to being lifeless. But they never worry, because they know that tomorrow comes again. Perhaps they will have a few scratches or marks, but they will always be together.
