Once upon a time, the bookshop was as big as two worlds combined. Inside, it had a small corner as comfortable as a bed. It was filled with books that smelled like flowers in summer.

On an ordinary day, a girl came in. The beauty of the bookshop amazed her as strongly as a sweet perfume. She took a book from a shelf and started to read. She had never felt so lonely, like a story without readers. She didn’t have any friends. She was as quiet as a mouse searching for food.

Every day, she returned to the bookshop, picked a book, and got lost in its pages. Soon, she realised that reading was as wonderful as a friendship. Books became her companions, her adventures, and her comfort on difficult days. From then on, she was never truly lonely again.

After all, how can someone feel alone when surrounded by thousands of stories waiting to become friends?
