Toma M., Year 6
Not long ago, I started a club
With my favourite teacher, in a room like a hub.
Now, let me tell you what those walls have seen
And what those images really mean.
They saw some students trying for perfection
With personification and alliteration.
They also saw students express their frustration
And eventually, thriugh work, found their motivation.
The walls witnessed out teacher giving support:
“Kids, never give up” they would report.
When you enter this room, those wall could tell you,
About some ways our creations bring value.
These walls heard us chattering like a flock of birds
And they’ll whisper it back in a long stream of words.
We could hear them when we concentrated,
We could hear them when we were frustrated.
They spoke to us in a kind voice,
Saying “you always have a choice”.
The club’s name is famous-The Ink Society,
And it will never lack creative variety.
At last, I think this club is cool,
It’s the secret gem of our school.
There, it all comes alive, week after week.
If you ask me, even the walls could speak!
